Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Gharup website and your requests to book home and property services through the website.

Gharup (“Gharup”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides an online platform through which customers can request home and property services in the areas where our services are available.

By using the Gharup website or submitting a service request, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or request our services.

1. Our services

Gharup provides an online platform through which customers can request home and property services, including:

  • Home and deep cleaning
  • Electrical services
  • Plumbing
  • Air-conditioning repair and servicing
  • Carpentry
  • Painting
  • Other services that may be introduced on the website from time to time

Services may be performed by Gharup personnel or by independent service professionals engaged or coordinated by Gharup, depending on the nature of the service.

The services available, service descriptions, starting prices and applicable terms are displayed on the website and may be updated from time to time.

Some services may require an assessment or discussion before a final price can be confirmed.

2. Service requests and booking confirmation

Submitting a booking request through the website does not by itself constitute a confirmed booking.

After receiving your request, Gharup may contact you using the contact details provided by you to confirm:

  • the service required;
  • the service location;
  • the date and time slot;
  • the scope of work; and
  • the applicable price or estimated price.

A booking will be considered confirmed only after Gharup has communicated confirmation to you.

We may decline or reschedule a service request where, for example, the requested service is unavailable, the location is outside our service area, the requested time is unavailable, or the requested work cannot reasonably be performed.

3. Eligibility and customer information

You must be at least 18 years old to request or book a service through Gharup.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information, including your:

  • name;
  • mobile number;
  • service address;
  • preferred date and time;
  • service requirements; and
  • relevant access or safety information.

You are responsible for updating us if any information changes before the service.

4. Service timing

Services are generally provided within the time slot communicated during booking.

For example, a booking may be scheduled for 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM rather than a specific arrival minute.

We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the confirmed time slot. However, arrival times may be affected by traffic, weather, availability of professionals, the nature of the previous service, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If there is a significant delay or a need to reschedule, we will make reasonable efforts to inform you.

5. Pricing

Prices displayed on the website may be starting prices and may vary depending on the actual scope and condition of the work.

Before additional work is undertaken, we will communicate any material change in scope or price to you and seek your approval where reasonably practicable.

Where a service has a fixed price, the applicable price communicated at the time of booking will apply, subject to any additional work requested or agreed by you.

Unless otherwise stated, all prices are in Indian Rupees (INR).

Any applicable taxes, charges or additional fees will be communicated to you before they become payable.

6. Payment

Payment for a confirmed service may be collected after completion of the service through the payment methods communicated by Gharup.

You agree to pay the applicable amount for the confirmed service and any additional work that you have expressly approved.

Where applicable, Gharup may issue an invoice or receipt for the payment.

7. Additional work

If the condition of the property, equipment, furniture, appliance or other item requires work beyond the originally requested scope, we will explain the additional work and applicable additional charges before proceeding, where reasonably practicable.

Additional work will not be undertaken without your approval, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent an imminent risk of injury or further property damage and it is not reasonably possible to obtain your approval beforehand.

8. Customer responsibilities and access

You agree to:

  • provide safe and reasonable access to the service location;
  • ensure that an adult is available to provide access where required;
  • provide accurate instructions about the location and work required;
  • inform us about known risks, fragile items, delicate surfaces, special materials or other conditions that may affect the service;
  • ensure reasonable availability of water, electricity and other basic facilities required for the requested service, where applicable; and
  • secure cash, jewellery, documents, valuables and other personal belongings before the service begins.

You should not ask a service professional to perform work outside the agreed scope or in circumstances that are unsafe or unlawful.

If required access or essential facilities are unavailable, Gharup may need to delay, reschedule or cancel the service. Any applicable cancellation or rescheduling consequences will be governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds

Our rules regarding cancellation, rescheduling and refunds are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

The Refund & Cancellation Policy should be read together with these Terms.

Nothing in our cancellation or refund policies is intended to exclude or restrict any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

10. Service quality and complaints

We aim to provide services with reasonable skill and care.

If you believe that a service was not performed as agreed or that there is a service-related issue, please contact Gharup as soon as reasonably possible and preferably within 48 hours of completion.

We may ask for photographs, videos, invoices, service details or other reasonable information to investigate the complaint.

Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a re-service, correction, partial refund or other appropriate resolution in accordance with the applicable service terms and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Nothing in this section limits any rights available to you under applicable consumer protection law.

11. Property damage

If you believe that your property has been damaged during a service, please notify Gharup as soon as reasonably possible and preferably within 24 hours of completion, together with photographs or other supporting information where available.

We will investigate reported damage reasonably and may request additional information from you or the service professional.

We will not be responsible for:

  • pre-existing damage;
  • ordinary wear and tear;
  • defects or weaknesses that existed before the service;
  • damage caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you;
  • damage caused by your instructions or by materials or equipment supplied by you; or
  • damage arising from conditions that could not reasonably have been identified or anticipated before the work.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, where Gharup is legally responsible for direct loss or damage arising from a service, our liability will generally be limited to the amount paid by you for the affected service.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including rights available to consumers under applicable law.

12. Safety and conduct

Customers and service professionals are expected to treat each other respectfully.

Gharup may suspend, refuse or terminate a service visit where the service professional reasonably believes that the environment is unsafe or that there is abusive, threatening, harassing or unlawful conduct.

Where a service has already been substantially or fully performed, termination of a visit does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.

Nothing in this section affects any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

13. Service professionals

Depending on the service, Gharup may coordinate services through independent professionals or service providers.

We may select and assign an appropriate professional based on the service requested, availability, location and other operational considerations.

Service professionals are expected to follow applicable safety requirements and Gharup's service standards.

The availability of a particular professional is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed by Gharup.

14. Website use

You agree not to:

  • use the website for unlawful purposes;
  • provide false or misleading information;
  • attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems;
  • copy, reproduce or commercially exploit website content without permission; or
  • use the website in a way that could damage, disable or impair the website or its availability to other users.

We may suspend or restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance or prevention of misuse.

15. Privacy and personal information

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

By using Gharup, you acknowledge that information provided by you may be processed for purposes including:

  • handling service requests;
  • contacting you about bookings;
  • coordinating services;
  • processing payments where applicable;
  • providing customer support;
  • handling complaints;
  • improving our services; and
  • complying with applicable legal requirements.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.

16. Intellectual property

The Gharup name, logo, website design, text, graphics, software and other content made available through the website are owned by or licensed to Gharup, unless otherwise stated.

You may use the website and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with requesting or using Gharup services.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell or commercially exploit Gharup content without our prior written permission.

17. Third-party services and links

The website may contain links or references to third-party websites, services or resources.

Such third-party services are not controlled by Gharup, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or terms.

Your use of a third-party service may be subject to that provider's own terms and policies.

18. Events beyond our reasonable control

We will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform a service where the delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, public disturbances, major traffic disruptions, outages, strikes, emergencies or other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.

Where reasonably practicable, we will inform you and attempt to reschedule the affected service.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or applicable law.

The version of these Terms applicable to a booking will generally be the version published when the booking is confirmed, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

The “Last updated” date at the beginning of these Terms indicates when the Terms were most recently revised.

20. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer right, remedy or protection available to you under applicable Indian law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or a service provided through Gharup shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent authorities and courts in accordance with applicable Indian law.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from approaching a consumer commission or other forum that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

22. Grievance redressal and contact

Gharup maintains a grievance redressal mechanism for customer complaints and grievances.
